The person behind the music

I finally found a way to make the music I’ve always wanted to make.

Leon L Smooth began with songs, melodies, and sounds I wanted to hear but did not have the money or studio access to produce in a traditional way. Hiring musicians, vocalists, producers, engineers, and studio time for a growing catalog was simply beyond my reach.

AI changed what was possible. It gave me the freedom to take the ideas in my head and develop them into finished recordings. I write the lyrics, develop the melodies, choose the musical styles, shape the arrangements, define the voices and instruments, and keep revising until a song feels right.

The technology makes the production possible. The taste, intent, experimentation, and final decisions are mine.

How the music is made

The ideas—
and the voice—
are human.

Leon L Smooth is an AI-assisted music project. That does not mean the creative process begins with a button. It begins with writing, melody, intention, and many rounds of human judgment.

Most songs begin with my own lyrics, melodies, and musical ideas. A small number began with music created or contributed by friends; those collaborators will receive individual release credits as their exact roles are confirmed.

01 Words & melody
I write the lyrics and develop the melodic ideas that give each song its identity.
02 Sound direction
I define the genre, rhythm, arrangement, instrumentation, harmonies, vocal character, and emotional arc.
03 My recorded voice
The vocal identity comes from recordings of my own voice. AI synthesizes that voice into the finished vocal performances.
04 AI-assisted realization
AI tools help perform and produce the instrumentation and vocals under my creative direction.
05 Iteration & final choice
I compare versions, rewrite, redirect, refine, and decide what becomes the final Leon L Smooth recording.

Without these tools, I would not have the financial resources to create this music at its current scale. They have made artistic independence possible while letting me remain honest about how the recordings are made.
